| Garlicky Green Beans with Almonds |
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. of green beans (cleaned and cut)
- 6 - 7 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/2 cup almonds (slivered)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and ground black pepper to taste
Directions:
- Toast the slivered almonds in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown. Set aside.
- Sauté green beans with olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until green beans begin to soften.
- Toss in minced garlic and continue to stir.
- Stir in toasted almonds and add salt and ground black pepper to taste.
- Mix everything, serve and enjoy!

| Savory Sticky Rice (xôi mặn lạp xưởng) |
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. of sticky glutinous rice
- 1/2 package of Chinese sausage
- Package of dried shrimp & shiitake mushrooms (optional)
- White & green onions
- Soy sauce
- Oyster oil
- Sugar to taste
Directions:
- Wash and soak sticky glutinous rice for overnight.
- Mix rice, sausage, onions, and shrimp and/or mushroom. Steam in a steamer for about an hour. Remember to stir evenly.

Ingredients:
- 6 pieces bananas saba or plantains cut in half (lengthwise)
- 1 cup canned jackfruit, sliced
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 12 pieces lumpia wrapper
- 2 cups cooking oil
Directions:
- Roll the banana in a plate of brown sugar and ensure that the banana is coated with enough brown sugar.
- Place the coated banana on a flat lumpia wrapper and add some jackfruit.
- Fold and lock the lumpia wrapper. Use water to seal edge.
- In a pan, heat the oil and put in some sugar. Wait until the brown sugar floats.
- Serve hot as a desert of snack. Good with vanilla ice cream! Share and enjoy!

| Cranberry Relish |
Ingredients:
- 2 cups rinsed raw cranberries
- 2 granny smith apples (peeled and cored); cut into thick slices (This ingredient is optional, but adds a nice flavor and texture to the mix.)
- 1 large whole seedless orange (skin on); cut into sections
- 1 cup granulated sugar (or more if you want it sweeter)
Directions:
- Grind the fruit: using a grinder, mixer or food processor, alternate between adding the cranberries, orange wedges and apples. If using a food processor, be careful not to "over pulse," or it will become mushy.
- Add sugar: stir in the sugar. Let the mix sit at room temperature until the sugar has dissolved. This can take up to 45 minutes.
- Serve! Or store your cranberry relish in the refrigerator until ready to use.

Pumpkin Pecan Pie
|
Ingredients:
- Pastry for single-crust pie (9 inches)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 can (15 ounces) solid-pack pumpkin
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Toppings:
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- Whipped topping, optional
Directions:
- Line a 9-in. pie plate with pastry; trim and flute edge. In a large bowl, beat the eggs, pumpkin, syrup, sugar, cream, cinnamon and nutmeg until smooth; pour into pastry.
- For the topping, in a large bowl, combine eggs, pecans, sugar and syrup; spoon over top.
- Bake at 425° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°. Bake 40 - 45 minutes longer or until the crust is golden brown and the top of the pie is set.
- Cool on a wire rack for 1 hour. Refrigerate overnight. Serve with whipped topping if desired.
