On Saturday, Oct. 13, the Anti-Litter Program supported two large clean-up events. The South Bay Creeks Coalition and the Trash Punx collaborated for a large clean-up along parts of Coyote Creek; 551 volunteers picked up 9.5-tons of trash, that included several large items and over 100 tires. The second event was hosted by CommUniverCity, the Friends of Five Wounds Trail and neighborhoods associations in the area; 92 volunteers picked up a total of 2-tons of trash. Efforts such as this greatly enhance the livability of the community and revitalize the wildlife in creeks. The Anti-Litter Program works with partner organizations, neighborhood associations, businesses, and individuals to #BeautifySJ by addressing litter-related blight.
