HAPPY HOLLOW RIDES ARE BACK! #PRNSBEST HHPZ EMPLOYEES WORK TOGETHER TO RE-OPEN FAMILY FAVORITE PARK AND ZOO

“We have all contributed to the reopening of Happy Hollow rides, excited and eager to have guests flow in and enjoy the park as they once did,” said Laura Almaguer, Interim Amusement Park Supervisor at Happy Hollow Park and Zoo (HHPZ). “In a way, this pandemic and reopening has made the Happy Hollow Park and Zoo staff a stronger team.”

On Wednesday, July 14th, the beloved, family-friendly rides at HHPZ were reopened to the public after a year of closure. The HHPZ employees, ranging from the rides staff to the food and beverage team, put an extraordinary amount of time and effort into this long awaited reopening!

Thanks to these #PRNSBest employees, San José residents can once again enjoy all the exciting features and attractions HHPZ has to offer.

Ride staff played a crucial role in the reopening of HHPZ rides and attractions, such as the iconic Danny the Dragon ride!

For the very popular HHPZ rides, many duties were required by HHPZ staff so that they would be ready and safely reopened for guests. The Mechanics team ensured all rides were up to safety standards and ran smoothly to pass the park’s annual inspection. Other team members worked for weeks to clean and prepare the rides for guests.

Guests are able to enjoy the park and zoo from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.

Beyond the reopening of rides, HHPZ’s Picnic Basket, a quick-service restaurant, is now available once again to provide residents with a variety of healthy and delicious foods to enjoy during their visit to Happy Hollow.

With the return of rides and Picnic Basket restaurant, residents can now enjoy the amenities of HHPZ that have provided our city with family-friendly fun for 60 years and counting.

“The customers have returned to the things that they have missed for more than a year and our team is giving them the quality that they are used to” said Mario Day, Interim Assistant General Manager.
