#PRNSBEST BeautifySJ RAPID Team Has Seen Its Busiest Year
Their Hard Work Helps To Improve our City and Quality of Life For Residents
One team working under the #BeautifySJ program is RAPID (Removing and Preventing Illegal Dumping). This team responds to alerts of illegal dumping across San José and removes and relocates items to keep our streets clean and safe. The fiscal year of 2020-2021 was RAPID’s busiest year yet, in which the team completed a total 23,707 illegal dumping service requests within an average 4-day response time. The team successfully collected 2,938 tons of debris including 5,153 mattresses and 3,029 couches.
