 Background: The San José Municipal Rose Garden is home to 189 varieties of roses. It was named “America’s Best Rose Garden” in 2010 and was inducted into the Rose Garden Hall of Fame in 2013. The garden’s success can be attributed to dedicated volunteers who contribute over 30,000 hours a year to keep the roses in top condition.

Volunteers learn to care for and prune award-winning roses at the annual event. Those interested in volunteering can simply show up at the Rose Garden on the day of the event. For information, contact (408) 595-3483.
