UPDATE 12/5: The parking permitting and citations are working again. People can now pay for citations and access their residential permit accounts.

The City of San José uses a vendor to assist with the processing, payment, and contesting of parking tickets. The vendor also oversees our Residential Permit Parking Program. Unfortunately, this vendor is currently experiencing a systemwide outage affecting the following services:

  • Residential Permit Parking Program – including the processing of new permits and the updating and assigning of existing permits and guest permits
  • Parking Citation system – including services provided over the phone and online, such as citation lookup, making payments, and adjudication (contesting) requests

The vendor is actively working to restore all systems. In the meantime, please note:

  • Enforcement within Residential Permit Parking zones is temporarily suspended
  • No parking tickets can be paid online or over the phone at this time. Payment and adjudication deadlines will be automatically extended
  • No new or additional late fees will be applied during the outage

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to fix these issues.

In the meantime, walk-in services remain available at the Office of Parking Violations located at 210 N. Fourth Street, Suite 150. Here, staff can help you in person Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., excluding City-recognized holidays. The Office of Parking Violations will be closed Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29.
