The Guadalupe River Trail Bike Connections Plan will propose improved connections to and from the Guadalupe River Trail via surrounding streets. The main goal is to make it easier and safer for residents, workers, and commuters to get around all year long.
This Existing Conditions Report explains how transportation works in and around the Guadalupe River Trail. It also explains how the trail is impacted by flooding, and how these impacts might change in the future. It shows the main issues that planners need to solve in the short term to make it easier to bike around flooded parts of the trail.
The report starts by explaining the history of the Guadalupe River Trail and what happens when the trail is flooded. Then, it looks at how people move around now, the problems they face, and what other planning work might impact this area. The report ends by highlighting the outreach conducted so far.
This plan will build on this report, combined with future community outreach, to suggest transportation improvements.
