| Background: |
The San José Animal Care Center received a large donation of 14 pallets of food from Chewy's Pets for Life Program. The donation program ensures pets in underserved communities stay healthy and happy.
The donation includes food for dogs, cats, rabbits, and more, as well as toys, treats, and other items. The shelter has distributed some of the donated items to the public and provides two free bags of dog food with each dog adopted at the Animal Care Center.
In keeping with the mission of the Pets For Life Program, a pallet of food will be distributed to the residents at Via Del Oro. Basic preventative vaccines will also be provided to pets along with care packages consisting of toys, treats, leashes, and beds. Media will have an opportunity to capture b-roll and interview elected officials and residents in attendance.
