What: The City of San José announces the return of CityDance San José, a free monthly for all-ages music and open-air dancing series in downtown San José.
When: The dates and music genres this year are:
  • Thursday, June 19 – Juneteenth Celebration: featuring live music by Riddim Exchange playing Afrobeats
  • Thursday, July 17 – Country
  • Thursday, August 14 – Cumbia 
  • Thursday, September 18 – Salsa
Events will take place from 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: Circle of Palms, 127 S. Market St. (in front of the San José Museum of Art)
Background: The series provides professional dance lessons followed by dancing with a live band or DJ and includes free admission into the San José Museum of Art, plus a special curated menu at Cafecito by Mezcal, the museum’s café.

For the ninth year, the City will host the popular outdoor music and dance series that has attracted more than 10,000 people over the past eight years.

CityDance San José is co-presented by the City of San José Office of Economic Development & Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the San José Museum of Art, El Cafecito by Mezcal, Envision Pro AV and the San Jose Downtown Association.
