What:
The Trust for Public Land (TPL), in partnership with San José Parks, Recreation, and Neighborhood Services, is offering grants from $1,000 to $10,000 to bring new life to parks across San José.
Grants are available to community-based organizations, nonprofits, and neighborhood groups for projects like community events, temporary features, and minor improvements that activate local parks.
These community-led grants are part of the City’s efforts to better understand what types of programs and features residents value most in their parks. Each grant recipient will be required to collect feedback from residents on their project, which will be used to guide future investments where they’re needed most. All proposals will be reviewed for feasibility within City guidelines and permitting processes. Only the most competitive projects will be selected.
