Earlier this fall, with VTA's approval, Lyft installed a Bay Wheels bikeshare station at the Berryessa BART Station. Now, users can end their trip right at the transit station's front door! The new bikeshare station has 11 docks. Additionally, the City is keeping the nearby 25-dock station at Lenfest Road and Mabury Road.

More bikeshare stations are being installed in the Mayfair and Alum Rock neighborhoods next year. And almost a dozen will also be installed in neighborhoods between Downtown and Mayfair beginning in early 2026.

This bikeshare station expansion, funded by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and a state grant, will allow more people to travel by bike more easily within East San José and Downtown.
