Background:
Construction is beginning on the Senter Road Safety Improvements Earmark Project, funded by a generous $10 million earmark secured in 2022 by State Assemblymember Ash Kalra. City of San José leaders will break ground to celebrate the coming improvements that will make this busy street safer and more welcoming for people walking, biking, and taking transit. Key improvements to the corridor include upgrading temporary plastic bikeway delineators to concrete, adding lighting, planting trees, and improving transit stops.
