 When: Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
 Where: San José Fire Department Training Center

 Background: The San José Fire Department (SJFD) is proud to host its seventh annual Women’s+ Boot Camp.

Designed for individuals interested in exploring a career in the fire service, the Women’s+ Boot Camp offers participants a firsthand look at the profession through a challenging circuit workout, hands-on firefighting demonstrations, and an interactive Q&A session with the women of SJFD.

This free event, held at the new San José Fire Training Center, is open to 120 participants ages 16 and older, including non-binary, gender non-conforming, and trans women. Registration is now closed after all available spots for the event were claimed shortly after opening on April 13, 2026.

 RSVP: SJFD invites media to attend for b-roll of the workout and interviews with Boot Camp staff from 9:30 –10:30 a.m.
