Advisory Detail
What: As the world arrives in the Bay Area for international soccer, San José is rolling out its own welcome mat.

On Sunday, June 14, Viva CalleSJ's Greetings from San José transforms city streets into a global journey through some of San José's most vibrant neighborhoods. Attendees will visit our iconic Japantown, roll through the heart of downtown San José, and reach the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds by entering under the fairground's big blue arch.

Inspired by the spirit of travel and connection, Greetings from San José invites participants to explore the city through music, food, art, and cultural experiences temporarily opening miles of connected city streets to people, and closing them to cars. Along the route, activity hubs will feature interactive postcard stations where visitors can capture and share memories of Viva CalleSJ, creating keepsakes that celebrate this beloved San José tradition.

As visitors from around the globe arrive in the region, Viva CalleSJ offers a reminder that San José's greatest strength has always been its people. Residents are encouraged to bring their culture, share their stories, and help showcase the city that proudly welcomes the world.
