Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services has partnered with UNAFF for Seniors, a United Nations organization that screens films and documentaries around the world, to bring a free film festival to San José! Film topics range from health to historical figures and riveting personal stories to global issues. Each film in the festival is coordinated with the Senior Nutrition Program (SNP). With each exciting film, you can also enjoy a healthy lunch. The SNP serves nutritious meals to San José's senior residents, as part of PRNS' efforts to support their health and wellbeing. The first film was shown at Roosevelt Community Center on February 13, bringing together local residents to watch Sing China!, and to enjoy a healthy meal. The film festival continues until May with weekly films and meals at different community centers each week.
