Find Inspection Records

Inspection notices are posted at SJPermits.org. Here is how to access and print these notices: 

  1. Go to www.SJPermits.org.

    Click: Search Permits, Property & Zoning
     
    • If searching by Property Address, APN, or Tract, first select the correct property and then select View Permit/File.

    • If searching with a Permit number, enter the full year and number sequence, for example, 2024123456. This will open the permit information.

  2. After locating the correct Permit, click: Details

  3. Under Permit Details, click: Document

    4. In the upper right click "Document".


  4. A list of documents will appear, including any Inspection Notices.

  5. Select the notice or other document you wish to view. You can then upload a copy or print it. 

    After selecting a document to view, you can upload a copy or print (including Print to PDF).

  6. If printing, be sure to verify your print settings under More Settings. 

Verify your Print Settings under “More Settings”.

IMPORTANT! Have any inspection notices relating to a project printed and ready for the City inspector. Not doing so risks having the inspection canceled.
