  1. MLK Day of Service! Volunteer at San Tomas Park!

    January 21, 8:45 AM - 12:00 PM @ San Tomas Park

    Come make a difference! Volunteers are needed to spruce up the park! Activities will include playground improvements, litter pick-up, removing invasive plants and pruning the roses. +++All tools and training provided! +++No pre-registration, simply show-up and help-out! ***The Event Goes On: Rain or Shine! Please wear closed-toe shoes and dress for the weather--layers work well! Families are encouraged to volunteer together! Teens-come earn community service hours! This is a joint event with the City of Campbell and many community groups! We thank them for this partnership and serving the San Tomas park community!

    The public is invited to the second community meeting to review the proposed master plan designs, and learn more about the history of the area. Park themes focus around the former railroad stations, the fruit industry, and the historical agricultural context of the downtown area. North San Pedro and Bassett parks are part of a three-park system, including Pellier Park, that will provide a variety of elements such as green open space, flexible event space, playground area, fitness area, varied seating elements, lighting, and vegetation. The proposed design for the Coleman/Bassett underpass project created by Seattle artist, Vicki Scuri, will also be introduced.
