Vendor Registration / BidSync
The City of San José has partnered with
BidSync to post, distribute, and receive electronic responses to the City’s solicitations. Prospective suppliers are encouraged to register with BidSync to access information on current and past bids. There is no fee associated with viewing and/or receiving notices about the City of San José’s bid opportunities. For more information, please refer to

Insurance
Vendors who perform a general service for the City will be required to submit proof of insurance coverage as specified by the City of San José’s Risk Manager.
Conflict of Interest
The City of San José maintains a fair competitive processes for the award of City contracts by promoting integrity and ensuring that there are no conflicts of interest in competitive solicitations. For more information, please refer to the

Environmentally Preferable Procurement
The
City of San José has adopted an “Environmentally Preferable Procurement” (EPP) Program. The goal is to encourage the procurement of products and services that help minimize environmental impact. For more information, please refer to the

Local & Small Business Preference
The City of San José is committed to promoting opportunities with local and small businesses. Effective June 18, 2004, the City adopted Ordinance 27136, which established a Local and Small Business Preference Policy for the procurement of supplies, materials, equipment and services.
