Introducing a New Way to File and Track a City Service Request!

My San José is now live!
MySanJose.jpg The City of San José is proud to present My San Jose, a state-of-the-art mobile tool that allows you to quickly and easily report common service requests such as potholes, graffiti, abandoned vehicles, streetlight outages, and illegal dumping. Urgent transportation infrastructure requests such as sewer back-ups, missing/damaged street signs, malfunctioning traffic signals, and broken tree limbs blocking the street right-of-way should be immediately reported to the Department of Transportation’s 24-Hour Emergency Dispatch Center at (408) 794-1900.

Welcome to the San José Department of Transportation.

What We Do

Our role is to operate, maintain, and improve San José’s 2400 miles of streets and related infrastructure. This includes the paved street surfaces, bridges, traffic signals, streetlights, signs, crosswalks, bike lanes, pavement markings, curbs, curb ramps, sidewalks, street trees and landscaping, as well as the public sewers and storm drains located within the streets. Additionally, we operate the City’s public parking lots and garages, and manage on street parking compliance, abandoned vehicle abatement, and street sweeping.

To provide a comprehensive and seamless network of transportation services for the San José community, we work closely with other public agencies that manage and improve our transit systems and our regional network of freeways and expressways.

Please explore our website to learn more about San José DOT, our services, programs, projects and partnerships. We look forward to working with you!
