San José 311 enables the community and City crews to more quickly connect in keeping the City well maintained. The San José 311 platform is an opportunity for residents to submit service requests to the City in an efficient manner. This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is put in place to ensure that the platform is used as it was intended and to ensure so that everyone in the community can continue to benefit from the San José 311 platform. This policy also ensures our Service Staff are able to effectively respond to the needs of our community. Any submissions that violate this policy may be closed without further action.
While submitting a report using San José 311:
- Do not use automated technology to submit the same information multiple times a day. This reduces Service Staff’s ability to timely process submissions and respond to the needs of the community. This, in turn, detracts from the community’s ability to use and benefit from the 311 platform.
- Do not use profanity or make threats of violence against City staff. Any threats of violence against City staff may be subject to legal action.
