Home Electrification Webinar Series 2024

Climate Smart San José, in partnership with Redwood Energy, held a series of home electrification webinars in 2023 and 2024 for residents, contractors, developers, and property managers.

  • "Ask Sean, Trang and Maria Shows" for Home Electrification 

Sean Armstrong, Trang Trinh, and Maria Diaz answer home electrification questions from members of the San José community, including information on the history of electrification, case studies, product guides, and solutions for all kinds of homes.

Sean Armstrong of Redwood Energy covers information on rebates available for house and apartment electrification, solar, back-up batteries, and electric vehicle chargers. It includes various building type case studies to show how you can get money from all the available local, state, and federal rebates and incentives to help you decarbonize on a budget.

  • Avoiding Electric Panel Upgrades (Webinar Recordings: English, Spanish interpretation, Vietnamese interpretation)

Sean Armstrong of Redwood Energy covers how to electrify your home without having to upgrade your electric panel, including with energy efficiency, 120V appliances, clipping solar inverters, and load balancing "smart" plugs, subpanels, and whole house panels.

TECH training – Available to consultants, contractors, engineers, designers, and building professionals. These courses take a deep dive into building upgrades with recommended best practices to follow.

BayREN Trainings

SVCE’s Future Fit Fundamentals Training – Available to contractors in Santa Clara County interested in learning more about energy efficiency upgrades. The training is free, and contractors who complete the course may qualify for up to a $5,000 incentive to install approved FutureFit technology.
