1. Overview of the Regulations
Download a one-page handout to educate your customers, tenants, and employees about your waste requirements. Handouts from August 2, 2024 are provided in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Traditional Chinese.

2. adjuST YOUR SERVICES
Ensure proper services are in place by contacting Republic Services to schedule a free waste assessment and/or compliance consultation. Call (408) 432-1234 or email SanJoseRecyclingTeam@republicservices.com.
3. Set Up Your Sorting Station
Help your tenants, employees, and customers properly sort their waste by providing labeled or color-coded sorting bins, or “receptacles”.
For a limited time, businesses can receive up to $500 in indoor organic waste-sorting equipment through the Wet Receptacle Assistance Program.
