The Great American Litter Pickup is a citywide event dedicated to keeping our neighborhoods clean and beautiful. Volunteers of all ages come together to remove litter, enhance public spaces, and take pride in their community. By signing up, you can choose the site where you’ll be participating and help make a direct impact in your neighborhood. Join us in creating a cleaner, healthier environment for everyone!

BeautifySJ is a blight reduction and encampment management program within the Parks, Recreation, and Neighborhood Services Department.

The BeautifySJ Program works to reduce blight by removing graffiti, coordinating litter pickups and dumpster days, and cleaning up illegal dumping through services like neighborhood beautification, litter education, neighborhood engagement, and illegal dumping removal and prevention.

It also manages encampments by removing trash, providing clean-up services, and addressing pollution from recreational vehicles.

BeautifySJ helps improve neighborhoods, engage local residents, and keep public spaces cleaner and safer for all to enjoy.
