Help Build a New Park in Your Neighborhood!
About the Project
This future park site is located south of downtown at the corner of 3rd and Keyes in Council District 3. The space has the opportunity to become a gathering space for the Spartan Keyes Community. The 1.3 acre area will be the focus of a comprehensive community engagement process to determine park programming and character of the future park. At the heart of the Spartan Keyes Neighborhood, the park will provide much needed greenspace for residents. Historically part of a brickyard manufacturing site the land is currently occupied by a used-car dealership and car repair businesses.
In September 2024, Spartan Keyes Master Plan project was awarded a grant from the National Park Service. Read more about this grant in the California State Park News Release.
