With every triennial update to the California building codes, the Building Division inspection team produces a Residential Construction Guidelines booklet to highlight the key code requirements on common single-family/duplex projects. The standards, codes, ordinances, interpretations and practices described in this handbook may be changed, updated, or corrected at any time without correcting or republishing this handbook. Refer to the adopted building codes for full requirements.
