Public Meetings - May 12, 2026 and June 8, 2026: Proposed New Fees and Proposed Changes to Existing Fees Related to Development Projects
As part of the budget process, the City Council will hold a series of Study Sessions and Council Meetings, May 6-11, 2026 to discuss and receive public comments on the proposed budget for fiscal year 2026-2027, including the proposed new fees and proposed changes to existing fees related to development projects. The City Council will have two public hearings on May 12, 2026 beginning at 1:30p.m. and June 8, 20265 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at which the public can provide comments on both the proposed budget changes to existing fees related to development projects.

Go to www.SJPermits.org and enter the project address or Project Reference Number. Info that shows up includes how to contact the City Planner who is managing the project. All staff email addresses are: firstname.lastname@sanjoseca.gov

Tree removal permits

Use the Tree Removal Permit Application. Schedule an in-person or virtual appointment at Applications and Appointments or email ZoningQuestions@sanjoseca.gov for an appointment.
