The project is a Planned Development Permit Amendment to allow for up to 15 concerts per year at the existing PayPal Park stadium. The proposed concerts could occur any day of the week (Monday-Sunday), would not start earlier than 9:00 AM and would not end later than 11:00 PM. No physical alterations to the stadium site would occur.

The project is proposed at the PayPal Park stadium in San José. No development is proposed to the Great Oaks Place area covered in the EIR.

Public hearings

The project was approved at the Planning Director's Hearing on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

An appeal hearing by the City Council is scheduled for February 24, 2026. 

Additional information

The project's permit and CEQA approvals were appealed by members of the public. A timely appeal of the environmental determination was received on November 24, 2025. A timely appeal of the Planned Development Permit Amendment was received on December 1, 2025.
