We review planning permits and engage the community on development proposals.

Public Meetings - May 21, 2020 and June 15, 2020: Proposed New Fees and Proposed Changes to Existing Fees Related to Development Projects - As part of the budget process, the City Council will hold a series of Study Sessions and Council Meetings, May 14-15, 2020 to discuss and receive public comments on the proposed budget for fiscal year 2020-2021, including the proposed new fees and proposed changes to existing fees related to development projects. The City Council will have two public hearings on May 21, 2020 beginning at 1:30 p.m. and June 15, 2020 beginning at 1:30 p.m. at which the public can provide comments on both the proposed budget changes to existing fees related to development projects.  For more information, see the public hearing notice.

 

COVID-19 PROCEDURE: All procedures aim to protect everyone's health and slow the spread of COVID-19. In alignment with the County Public Health Order, the Planning Division staff are working remotely. Your projects remain important and we are continuing to process applications, take in plans, and conduct plan review and environmental review.   • For customers with questions on active projects, please email your project manager. Project managers are listed on active permits that can be found by address or Project Reference Number at www.sjpermits.org. All staff email addresses are firstname.lastname@sanjoseca.gov
