Growth & Development
The primary purpose of the Evergreen-East Hills Development Policy (EEHDP) is to replace the original Evergreen Development Policy (OEDP), as amended, to specifically allow a limited increase in development in the Evergreen-East Hills Development Policy boundary. With approval by the City Council on December 16, 2008, the EEHDP became the new policy framework for a limited amount of new residential, commercial, and office development within the area.
The EEHDP is intended to promote the long-term vitality of the Evergreen-East Hills area by linking together limited development with supporting transportation infrastructure. In exchange for enabling more development capacity, the policy provides a mechanism to require commensurate traffic impact fees in order to construct transportation system investments.
