Neighborhood Boundaries Map
As a part of the City's Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy, the Planning Division prepared a neighborhood boundaries map. This map was created in 1999 for the purpose of assessing and assigning neighborhood service needs. Thus, boundaries shown on the map do not necessarily represent commonly recognized neighborhoods, and may differ from what residents perceive as their neighborhood.
The boundaries were selected to define neighborhoods where their identities were generally known (e.g. Naglee Park, St. Leo's, etc). For others, the boundaries defined residential areas with common street systems or with a focal school, park, or other community asset that may act as a connector for residents of an area. These boundaries and names do not pretend to represent real neighborhood social units, which after all develop only through human interaction. These boundaries are subject to change when warranted.
