Living Wage

For contracts advertised and entered into between July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020, the hourly wage rates are:

$22.68 per hour (if health benefits are offered)

$23.93 per hour (if health benefits are not offered)

The Living Wage Policy provides worker rights on City service contracts that fall under 18 covered categories. These rights include requirements for worker's hourly rate of pay, health insurance offering, compensated time off, job security, and labor peace. The service contract must be over $20,000 and awarded through a competitive bidding process in order for the Policy to apply. For contracts in which both living wage and prevailing wage apply, the higher rate of the two must be paid to workers.

Compensated Time Off for Employees

Contractors are required to provide 12 days of compensated time off per year for full-time workers and 6 days of compensated time off for part-time workers. Paid holidays, sick days, vacation, and personal days can count towards the 12 or 6 required days.
