San José Municipal Water System
San José Municipal Water System (Muni Water) is owned and operated by the City of San José. It is one of three drinking water suppliers in San José, along with privately-owned San Jose Water Company and Great Oaks Water Company.
Muni Water has grown from a relatively small water utility to the fourth largest water retailer in Santa Clara County. Today, we offer some of the lowest water rates in the San Francisco Bay Area while providing our customers with a safe and reliable water supply.
Notice: North First Street Main Replacement Project
From October 2019 to May 2020, Muni Water will coordinate a potable water pipeline replacement project on North First Street (Southbound lanes), between Trimble Road and Orchard Parkway. Construction will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Expect lane closures/detours and parking restrictions in and around the project area, along with an increased level of noise during the construction period. If you have any questions or concerns about the construction activities for this project, please contact Muni Water at (408) 277-3671. Thanks you for your patience while we work to improve your water system.
